Computer Based Training

International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) has been designed to enable experienced workers to demonstrate their knowledge and awareness of the necessary safety standards to avoid risk and incidents.

The course contain nine modules:

Safety English Test

Safety English Test is an online English language test aimed at the Oil & Gas and Energy industries. It benchmarks employees English Language competency in the context of safety.
SET tests the four communicative skills of English speaking, Listening, reading and writing.

Target User: Designed with the following groups in mind:- International Oil Company, National Oil Company, oilfield service company, EPC contractors, recruitment companies and regulatory bodies.

SET is relevant for all staff whose jobs require an understanding of an English language safety culture. HSSE personnel, technicians and operators, maintenance crews, shift supervisors, administrators and managers from both upstream and downstream environments will all find the SET to be of direct relevance.

Authorized Gas Testing

GasTesting

Gas testing involves testing for oxygen, toxic and flammable gases using portable gas detection equipment, and is an integral part of establishing a safe system of work. The OPITO approved AGT e-learning course covers:

  1. Gas Testing Procedures and Practices
  2. Procedural requirements for Gas Testing
  3. Theory of combustion
  4. Characteristics of gas mixture
  5. Use of Portable Gas Testing Equipment.
The course provides the underpinning knowledge to support competence and, when combined with the supplementary practical and workplace assessment can provide a complete method to achieve AGT certification.

Course Duration:
Level 1 - 120 minutes
Level 1 refresher - 60 minutes

Targeted Participants: The tasks authorised gas testers are required to undertake may vary depending on the workplace operation at the time. The tasks also vary in complexity and responsibility.

Level 1 will provide you with the knowledge and understanding to enable you to work safely when performing tests for oxygen, flammable and toxic gases. It includes testing in confined spaces, relevant legislative control, atmosphere measuring and monitoring equipment, gas testing in confined spaces and interpreting and documenting results.
